On proposal of the Foundation, in cooperation
with the Faculty of Architecture of Minsk (Belarus),
the Alderman of the International Relation of
the City of Florence and the Dipartimento di Progettazione
dell'Architettura of Florence University. There
were presented to the public 94 diploma projects
divided in 8 thematic areas. An international
jury has selected the most representing works
and the 8 winners more 1 special prize were awarded
by the Foundation. The show-competition up to
today has always been held in the C.S.I. area.
The Florentine edition is the first absolute in
the world outside the C.I.S. area. The show-competition
was supported by Vivahotels, Fleming Youth, Natali
Multimedia and Pochini Printer of Florence.

showcase of animation "sylver fly", Project Leader: Prof. Oleg Dergachov (Union of the Artists of Ukraine).
This students' workshop intends to use animated
cartoons as a perfect means of human communication,
going over the differences among languages; it
promotes human value through positive humor, in
an understandable way for people of any culture
and age. The workshop wants to underline how animation
can and should pay an important educational message
bringing up human consciousness against distortions
of human societies such as xenophobia, nationalism,
corruption and others.

"The preservation and restoration problems of central and eastern
european historic buildings bearing florentine
renaissance influence", Project
Leader: Dr. Eva Mester (Hungarian University of
Fine Arts). It is the follow up of the 2003 workshop
"The influence of the Florentine Renaissance
of the Architecture of Central and Eastern Europe
at the end of the 19th century", focused
on the study about these monuments; the second
step is focused on the typical problems of preservation
and restoration e.g. moisture, insulation, damage,
caused by frost, natural agents, etc.
