The six days meeting on the theme is revealed of a wealth of contents that go well over the treated matters. In fact, we discussed problems and techniques of restoration and maintenance of oriental manufactured items in metals and distinct alloys with the idea to throw, for the first time, an important bridge of conservative syncretism and restoration between the Western and the Oriental civilisations.
Although is obvious that such trial must be discusses and deepened, thanks to the technical-scientific preparation of representatives as the Conservator of the Museum Boijmans-van Beuningen - Rotterdam, the Royal Home for Military Men and Museum Bronbeek - Arnhem, the I.C.R. of Rome, the Special Superintendence of the Venetian Museum Pole, the workshop of the Pietre Dure in Florence and to all the participants' involvement in the course, it appears to day probable that in the near future should be possible to define standard procedures to follow for the whole world of the museum and private collecting.
To be waiting that this new trend takes shape and it strengthens, I trust that new initiatives are effect and intensify for the sake of our cultural property.

L’incontro di sei giorni sul tema si è rivelato di una ricchezza di contenuti che vanno ben oltre gli argomenti trattati. Sono stati, infatti, discussi problemi e tecniche di restauro e conservazione di manufatti orientali in metalli e leghe diversi con l’idea di gettare, per la prima volta, un importante ponte di sincretismo conservativo e di restauro fra la concezione Occidentale ed Orientale.
Sebbene sia ovvio che tale processo debba essere discusso ed approfondito, grazie alla preparazione tecnico-scientifica di rappresentanti quali i Sovrintendenti dei Musei Boijmans-van Beuningen – Rotterdam, il The Royal Home for Military Men and Museum Bronbeek – Arnhem, l’ I.C.R. di Roma, la Sovrintendenza Speciale del Polo Museale Veneziano, l’Opificio delle Pietre Dure di Firenze ed al coinvolgimento di tutti i partecipanti al corso, appare oggi probabile che in un futuro non lontano si riescano a definire procedure standard da seguire per l’intero mondo del collezionismo museale e privato.
