Degree & Profession - Florence International Exchange Festival is an event in Florence that will allow students and graduates to get in contact with the professional world and that will give the companies and the professional studios the opportunity to present themselves to professionals coming from all over the world. Through conferences, workshops, company presentations, and poster sessions held by international experts the participants will be able to exchange ideas and build their international network of contacts in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, urban planning, environment, restoration, conservation, design, fashion and arts. Promoted by the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation of Florence“Degree & Profession” has arrived at its 5th edition. Some professionals who will be participating include David Fisher, the architect of the rotating towers in Dubai and Moscow, Patrick Wyss, who designed the Tatanka Museum wanted by Kevin Costner, Nelson Shanks, who has painted portraits of celebrities like Lady Diana, John Paul II, and Margaret Thatcher, and Yury Nazarov, president of the Russian Association of Designers, along with representatives of ICOMOS and ICCROM. The event is connected with a virtual archive which collects degree projects of young graduates and creates a virtual show of the best international talents. Those works will also be exhibited in Florence where the Scientific Committee, with experts from 13 different countries, will select the best project to receive the prize of 4000€, offered by the Industrial Association of Florence. The graduates registered in the database can also win other prizes: money prizes, stages, stays in Florence, and publication on professional magazines.
