The Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation, the Department of History and Civilization of the European University Institute - Fiesole and the Department of the Studies on the State of the University of Florence are promoting a series of seminars on general themes of European history. The purpose is to encourage close relations between European scholars and to coordinate future meetings between post-graduate students and young lecturers on generalthemes related to the history of Europe.
The first seminar will be held in Florence from 5 to 10 September 2005 and is open to 20 scholars of countries, either belonging to the European Union or not, who have research experience or are involved in projects on general themes relating to thehistory of Europe. The goals are:
- to establish a first contact, co-operation and exchange
- to define methodologies and criteria for a systematic organization of future events and to plan deadlines
